Os cigarros "greenbutts" são feitos com filtros 100% biodegradáveis, contendo sementes de plantas dentro que irão germinar e que, ao invés de bitucas de cigarro no chão, nascerão flores no lugar. Esses filtros, feitos de uma mistura natural de materiais como algodão e linho, se degradam em apenas um mês, ao contrário dos filtros normais de acetato de celulose, que levam cerca de 15 anos para se degradar; então, a semente entra em contato com a terra, onde ela irá se desenvolver. A ideia do projeto é diminuir a poluição causada por bitucas de cigarro ao meio ambiente.

Cigarettes "greenbutts" are made with 100% biodegradable filters containing plants seeds inside, which will germinate and, instead of cigarette butts on the ground, flowers will spawn in place. These filters, made from a blend of natural materials such as cotton and flax, are degraded in one month, contrary to the ordinary filters of cellulose acetate, which takes about 15 years to degrade; then, the seed get in contact with the earth, where it will develop. The idea of the project is to reduce the pollution caused by cigarette butts to the environment.
